$CELLAR Token: Unlocking Exclusive Benefits for Platform Users

EARNING As explained in the section, users can earn tokens by being active on the platform. This can happen either through cashback during specific sales events or by completing tasks that position them on the InterCellar leaderboard. This is a pioneering form of gamification in the wine and spirits industry.

STAKING To encourage early adoption, InterCellar has implemented a staking system. Users can lock their tokens on the platform for a predetermined period. During this time, the tokens cannot be unlocked, but the user will accumulate an APY (Annual Percentage Yield). This staking model acts as a form of investment for the user, providing them with a return, while also benefiting the platform by reducing selling pressure on the token.

SPENDING Being able to reinvest tokens back into the ecosystem is a major milestone for InterCellar, as outlined in the "Gamify Your Cellar" section. Users can spend their tokens to personalize their digital cellar, shaping it to reflect their unique preferences.

The user enjoys several benefits. Depending on the amount they lock for a minimum of 6 months, they will be assigned a level (called a tier). The higher the tier, the more significant the benefits.

The main advantages include access to whitelist (allocations), discounts on the primary market, on wine storage, and on the secondary market. Additionally, they will receive an APY.

For example, let’s look at Tier 4, "Cyborg Sommelier," with an amount of $3,360 staked for 6 months: The user can participate in each release sale 12 hours before others, with a 3% discount. Later, they will benefit from a 25% discount on storage, and secondary market fees will drop to 1% (instead of the usual 2%). They will also receive an APY of 8%.

It is important to note that members of our Wine Bottle Club (soon to transition to InterCellar Club) receive additional benefit boosters (see table).
